PORTSMOUTH, VA–(Marketwire – Aug 30, 2011) – The Churchland Animal Clinic in Portsmouth, a veterinary hospital and animal vet clinic for pet patients in the Portsmouth area, has announced their new website, found on the Internet at The small animal hospital is privately owned and serves pet parents and animals at two different locations in the Portsmouth area. The veterinarian and staff members at Churchland Animal Clinic have the “committed to caring for your companions” motto. The new website is going to be an additional resource to help pet owners to care for their pet companions.
Unfortunately pre-existing conditions make it very expensive. Around thirty states have "high risk insurance" pools–so you might check if you would qualify under that or not–try your state's insurance department.
Perhaps you can get an HSA–a health savings account requires a higher level deductible and thus should cost less. No guarantees possible unfortunately.
To be blunt, the system is totally rigged in the country–in order to squeeze every dime possible from people health "insurers" cherry pick and create classes of folks wh are uninsurABLE–can't get insurance at any price.
No one does squat about that or the myriad of other abuses. You might want to check this out:
Only author I've seen that deals with the REAL problems in health care–from the routine ignoring of contract law (legit claims denied), violations of antitrust law, and lack of PRICE TRANSPARENCY (only field where you can be kept in dark and even lied to about costs, then driven into bankruptcy). Also she realizes we need VASTLY MORE doctors, as well as nurses and other allied health care providers, and LOGICALLY suggests we STOP turning away thousands of well qualified students for those positions and create the needed slots. And yes she does address the student loan issue as well as how to finance the REFORMS she suggests so EVERYONE who wants insurance can have it–at a lower cost and a far better deal than any plan out there NOW offers.
Nothing in it for special interests, and no BS about "free" health care which doesn't exist anywhere, and so no one seems to want a practical solution. Like it? Write your politicians and try to get people to listen to reason.
Things will be getting a LOT worse soon–more and more docs are retiring or quitting the field; Medicare premiums are up 120% in 10 years and still is going broke which means MORE money from taxpayers will HAVE to be poured in. NO ONE is offering serious needed reform of private insurance. Oh, and even the states with high risk pools OFTEN have them CLOSED to new applicants–so where there is a REAL need, the door is slammed in the taxpayers' faces though there is endless money for gouging insurance companies, special deals to protect big pharma profits at taxpayer expense, etc–the stuff that is NOT addressed by the UHC crowd.
Good luck.
