ok anytime you run across this in the future, be sure and put in all the info you can get on the van, because there are actually a number of different vans available, and with out the the rest of the info it is difficult to find what you want for instance the grand caravan had an LE and several others, plus different combinations of engines the 4 cyl the 6 cyl and a v8 as well, I did a quick search, and a grand caravan LE which is like bare bones with a 4 cyl is like 1, 768 dollars, depending on model and options, a v8 with air is worth more , so as usual the insurance company bid is low. you have the right to get an independent appraisal of your vehicle, besides the insurance company.call them tell them the price is far too low, ask for an independent appraisal my roommate was offered 1 900 for a mustang that was totaled, she asked for an independent appraisal, and had receipts for a newer motor, it came back for five grand, and that's what the insurance paid. but you must be the squeaky wheel who gets the grease. it sucks getting your car wrecked, its even worse when some greedy thieving insurance company takes huge gobs of money, than acts like some tight bass screw up when you need help the most, so go get the info, and if your friend has put money into the van recently, for repairs, or four tires you need the receipts, and make a little noise, refuse the 900 as too cheap, go to this web site using your web search http://www.nada.com that's where I got the price from, print out the page, mail or better fax it to the insurance, and any repair records, and make some Noise, hopefully we can get the offer where it should be around 1900 good luck,hope your friend was not hurt, let us know how it goes, we love to hear tight butt insurance companies who pay more after you make noise kick them in their tight bass!!! and stand up for your rights god bless take care

Did the ad tell you that you have to have an insurance license to quote people? Well, you do need one.

that's more than fair price on that van, it only books out at about 800 right now,and that's in perfect condition,good luck.
