ARROYO GRANDE, CA–(Marketwire – April 28, 2009) – Living through difficult economic times, many Americans are struggling to make ends meet, some going without medical insurance coverage in an effort to save money, according to representatives of BestHealthcareRates.com. Financial experts are encouraging families to cut costs in other areas of their budgets in order to have the funds to purchase affordable medical insurance coverage, potentially protecting them from further financial hardship in the future.

I am particularly pleased with the ban on denying coverage for people with pre-existing conditions.

Millions of people have lost their jobs and their health care insurance. If they can afford to buy a private plan, which many cannot, they will be denied coverage for pre-existing conditions. By the time someone reaches the age of 40, he or she probably has some such conditions, which are considered to be anything for which a patient has been diagnosed with or treated for.

Let’s be realistic: We are all going to pay for this change in our health care plans, but the cost will be small for each of us. It can be devastating for an individual. Most pre-existing conditions can be treated with prescription drugs and do not require surgery or other expensive remedies.

I am not comfortable with the government running our health care, but this is one issue I am very pleased about.

I'm not understanding what this is. Is this something you're selling to a DOCTOR, but you want my insurance to cover the cost that you're selling it to the doctor for? That's never going to happen.

In order to get insurance to cover it, it has to be 'medically necessary'. You'll have to get it past the experimental phase, before insurance companies will even consider it.

Sounds like some kind of computer database tracking device, maybe tailored to each person. Even if it's incredibly convenient, It's NOT direct medicare care, and you'll have a darned hard time EVER getting insurance to cover it.

You START, by trying to market directly to doctors, give them free samples, to see how much their patients really like it. You need the doctors to create the market, unless you want to buy ad time on tv.

Not sure if she changes to another job, even if the new job covers insurance, it will cover pre-existing conditions?

Nope and the analogy they put forth that it's like people being required to have car insurance is just simply nutty. Car insurance is needed because other people and property can be hurt by a couple thousand pounds of moving force. A single individual should be able to choose – Dems argue women should choose whether to kill or keep an unborn baby.

What a long winded way of saying absolutely nothing, ummmm, what are the details of your plan? Does it happen to eliminate the denial of coverage for pre-existing conditions? Will 50% of bankruptcies still be due to health care bills (even for theprivately insured)? Will someone with breast cancer in remission be able to get coverage and not be tossed into the unaffordable high -risk pool? Hello? hello?blah blah blah govt run talking point, etc…blah blah
