This sweet couple had a beautiful Hawaii destination wedding at one of Kualoa Ranch’s wedding venues, Moli’i Gardens. The ceremony at Secret Island and the wedding reception at Moli’i Gardens were both decorated with real Hawaiian pineapples as aisle accents and centerpieces. This was the perfect touch for the green and brown themed wedding.
It really depends on where you love.
In Los Angeles, there's this school called FIDM.
It's mainly a school for fashion, but they have other subjects like Photography, music, interior decorating ect.
They offer summer programs for high school kids; although, they are very expensive. Scholarships are given to students who demonstrate AMAZING skills.
you can not see the line of the nose , and the top of the head is shady … not sure is the best exposure , there is a mighty room for improvement in that shot
I am not sure why you would feel as a start up business you could not charge the same as businesses which have been around. You as a start up is in a much greater need for capital.
I would almost treat this like a wedding. If you want to charge by the hour perhaps $100 per hour plus cost of prints would be a start. I use http://www.printroom.com for my print fulfillment's. Clients can log in with a password and order all kinds of things right on the web.
Remember most assistants get paid around $250 a day. You don't want to sell yourself short. People than will not recommend you because you are good they rather will recommend you because you are cheap. Clients also precede photographers who charge less as a lesser qualified photographer. So they might hire you for that birthday party but call your competition for that large wedding. Do some research and see what the competition is charging in your area. http://www.ppa.com might also be a great resource for such things.

If they offered to pay you, then dinner would be appropriate.
