I’m not a member of the IMF or World Bank. My decisions don’t play any role on Africans and that isn’t even an argument. You took my argument out of context with regards to health care providers intentionally killing patients when they had the means to at least try to save them. I’m a humble college student that lives within his means, is getting a quality education so that I can get a decent job. All qualities you shouldn’t object to.

The National Institutes of Health has launched an investigation into allegations that the Howard Brown Health Center in Chicago may have mishandled funds associated with a decades-long study of men infected with HIV, the center said today. Howard Brown, one of the country’s largest lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender health care organizations, severed ties earlier this month with Chief Executive Officer Michael Cook and Chief Financial Officer Mark Joslyn. The study in question is called the Multi-Center AIDS Cohort Study, or MACS, which has tracked thousands of men infected with HIV since the mid-1980s. “We recognize that the last few weeks have been wrought with questions and concerns,” Paul Fairchild, Howard Brown’s interim chief operating officer, said in a statement. “We want to ensure the community that the integrity of the research surrounding the MACS or any other study at Howard Brown has not been questioned. Our staff stands ready to provide the highest quality of…

The Center for Equine Health at the University of California, Davis, has received a $3 million pledge from the William and Inez Mabie Family Foundation. The gift, announced Monday, establishes an endowment to support the center’s research and teaching operations and challenges other prospective donors to provide an additional $1.8 million in matching gifts to establish another endowment to fund the center director’s position. “We are grateful to the Mabie Foundation for this generous gift and for inspiring the equine industry to continue its longstanding partnership in support of the center,” said Bennie Osburn, dean of the UCD School of Veterinary Medicine. “(The gift) will make a critical difference in sustaining the center as a worldwide leader in improving the health of horses.” State budget cuts and reduced spending by owners of large animals have triggered layoffs and furloughs at the UC Davis vet school. About 130 people have been laid off, and state funding has been cut by…

If you were a Forensic Anthropologist/ Biological Anthropologist you would travel. A Forensic Anthropologist looks at skelatinized remains to determine age, sex, stature, and ancestry. Many Fors. Anth. are consulted for each job and don't have a permanant job. They also help out in cases of mass disasters all over the world (like 9/11, tsunami's, plane crashes, etc.).
