You can buy a Canon SLR digi ( Canon Rebel is fragile, but is good for biginners) and use the same lenses of your 35mm .
You need good lenses , but "light" is very important because of real colors, so, a good equipment will be necessary, You can try tungsten light who is cheap then flash unit, or rent a flash equipment, some studios rent area with light.
The second part of job today is develop your photos ( you must photograph using raw format, advertising sometimes don“t accept low format ) on good software and calibrated equipment, like monitor. I use Macintosh ( Apple ) with photoshop (adobe.com) and excellent monitor.
You should look at other photogs websites in your area and charge accordingly. You would of course be on the low end, but you dont want to make it not worth your while all together.
This is just my opinion but I would call it 7 hours and charge for 5. You may go over and you may not get many good shots (you said your just starting out), so I wouldnt spend the money you get for a deposit, just in case a refund is in order.
the difference between assembly line and your picture is better lighting. You have failed to get your model to have any expression at all. Professional portraiture should be about capturing expression first cheesy poses second.

OK, look at the images posted when people ask this question and you will see 95% of them have exactly the same images you have.
shot of flowers
shot of the family pet
shot of view out of bedroom window
shot of a field or similar
etc etc
Great that you are learning and getting used to the camera but please don't fall into the same trap that it seems virtually every teen does and just go around snapping everything you see.
Think about what you are taking.
If they are just for your own pleasure then do what you want but as soon as you put them in public and ask for opinions then make them good photographs.
Look at and study shots which are done by successful photographers in the fields you are interested in.
Check out – go to the galleries
and other similar sites and see what good photography is and find out how they got the images and strive to get "proper" photos which are of interest to everyone not just you.
Your wedding photos are going to be treasured documents of family history revitalizing memory in some and illustrating the past for others I believe in using style to facilitate the content of the photos my art serves your moments
I don't know, of course, but I assume she's looking at digital cameras?
If so you might want to direct her to the Canon 5D. You can look at the specs here – it's currently running about $3,500 US.
The one thing out of many that makes this camera so good is its full size sensor. By full size I mean the sensor is the same size as a frame of 35mm film and gives wonderful quality. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/
I would say go for it. If you are sure that you have selected the photographer you want to go with, then you should ask. The pictures are for you and you want to make sure that you get what you want. Otherwise I would consider switching photographers.

Think about a basic light food course.
