What brings them to the spotlight is usually one of several factors. It might have a track record distinguished by race wins. It might be in particularly good shape. It might have had a starring role in a major motion picture. It might be a particular rarity from a small production run, or maybe it served to showcase the manufacturer’s offerings at a major auto show. Yes, but only if you set your phone to digital roaming. Meaning you could pay anywhere from ten cents to a dollar extra per minute for using their service.

Certain companies do have contracts with each other, for instance AT&T with Cingular, Sprint with Nextel, but not with Verizon.

Certain towers are shared between companies, so more than one company might be on the tower. If Sprint and Verizon share that tower, then yes, you will have service, no problem.

However, you can't just pick up Verizon without paying extra. Double check that it's not automatically charging you to roam to other towers. The case could be that the signal from the Sprint tower in the next city over is just enough to give you service. Full bar service would indicate that you're roaming or that there's another sprint tower nearby.
