Per capita payments are made by a tribe to its tribal members, similar to payments made by companies to their stockholders. In order for your husband to qualify he must be an enrolled tribal member of a tribe that distributes per capita payments. There are 3 federally recognized Cherokee tribes (Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma, United Keetoowah Band of Cherokee, and Eastern Band Cherokee). Of the three, only Eastern Band Cherokee distributes per capita payments. In order for your husband to receive per capita from EBC he must be enrolled with them. The enrollment requirements can be found here Contrary to popular belief, the US government does not distribute per capita payments to all American Indians, only those for whom they have a trust relationship. Your husband would be eligible for these payments if his family has a historic trust responsibility with the US Government. He or his family members would know if this was the case for his family.
I lived in Concord when I was 18. I had a great job as a graphic designer making tons of money (for my age) with a great boss. I freakin hated it. I’m from Orlando FL area there just is not anything to do up there. It really sucks there maybe if I knew more people but it was a let down. I left there for less than half the pay to come back to Florida.
